- Legitimate interests – we’re collecting or using your information because it benefits you, our organisation or someone else, without causing an undue risk of harm to anyone. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to portability. Our legitimate interests are:
The processing of the customer\’s Full Name, Email, and Telephone Number is lawful under Legitimate Interests because: The Interest is Legitimate: As a commercial entity, it is a fundamental business interest to respond to and manage enquiries from potential customers interested in purchasing our bespoke CNC goods and services. The Processing is Necessary: The collection of this specific, minimal data is essential for communicating the quote, technical details, and delivery information (full address is only taken if we either need to: a) calculate a delivery fee, b) arrange a delivery, c) undertake a site visit or d) install items the client has ordered from us – tasks that cannot be performed without the ability to personally contact the enquirer\/customer. The individual has initiated contact and expects a response. The data collected is non-sensitive, used only for the purpose of the initial request. The clear and immediate benefit to the customer (receiving their required information\/quote) far outweighs the minimal privacy risk of providing their basic contact details. We CNC will therefore rely on Legitimate Interests to process this specific personal information for the purposes of responding to and managing customer enquiries and delivering and installing goods ordered by the customer.
For more information on our use of legitimate interests as a lawful basis you can contact us using the contact details set out above.
