The Ultimate CNC Wood Cutting Service: Cut, Edge, Spray and Finish – Your Specialist Workshop, Ready to Go..

Need a Hand? Not Enough Time in the Working Day? Let’s Talk.

Let’s be honest, you’re busy. The jobs are coming in, the order book is full, and the deadlines are tight. You are a successful tradesperson, a thriving business owner, or an ambitious designer, but you’ve hit a wall—a capacity wall, a complexity wall, or a quality wall.

You simply don’t have the time – or maybe the specific, high-tech kit – to handle that big run of panel cutting, that tricky curved component for a bespoke display, or achieving that perfect, flawless spray finish your client is demanding. Every minute spent on repetitive cutting is a minute not spent on high-value tasks like design, assembly, and installation. Every mistake in the cutting room chips away at your profit margin.

That’s where we come in. We’re We CNC, and you can think of us as your specialist manufacturing partner, just down the road. We’re not a faceless corporation, nor are we just a room full of expensive machines. We’re a team of skilled people—experienced tradespeople who understand the pressures and the quality standards of your industry. We operate top-of-the-line machinery, ready to be the reliable, scalable manufacturing extension you need.

We are here to help you get the job done right, on time, without the capital expenditure or the headaches. Outsourcing your component work to us is a smart business strategy that allows you to focus on growth and profitability.

What We Actually Do: Cutting, Edging, and Spraying

At its core, our service is simple.  We take your digital designs or sketches and transform them into perfectly finished, ready-to-assemble components. We can handle the complete end-to-end process, or we can step in and assist with just the specific parts you need help with.

Our offering breaks down into four primary areas, each designed to deliver consistency, speed, and uncompromising quality.

1. The Core: CNC Router Cutting

This is our bread and butter, the engine room of precision.

The Process & The Precision: You provide us with a cutting list or a digital drawing (CAD file), and our powerful, computer-controlled CNC router takes over. It uses high-speed rotating cutters to process your material with incredible, repeatable precision. This is about more than just straight lines. The CNC excels at intricate shapes, curves, circles, complex pocket holes, and precise drilling patterns—all done in a single setup. This capability means you can move beyond standard rectangular components and start offering truly bespoke, signature pieces to your clients, all while knowing every part will fit together perfectly.

Why CNC Your Components?

  • Zero Error: CNC machining eliminates human error, meaning no expensive mistakes on high-value materials.
  • Nesting Optimisation: Our software is designed to “nest” your parts onto the sheet material to achieve the maximum material yield possible, saving you money on material costs and reducing waste.
  • Consistency for Scaling: Whether you need one prototype or five hundred identical components for a product run, the quality and dimensions are guaranteed to be identical.

2. The Workhorse: Industrial Panel Saw Cutting

While the CNC is perfect for complex shapes, sometimes you just need straight, clean, fast cuts on standard panels.

The Process & The Efficiency: We utilise our industrial-grade panel saw—an Altendorf WA80—for simple, rectilinear components like cabinet bases, shelves, and standard door panels. This machine is designed for speed and absolute squareness, allowing us to process large batches of standard parts with efficiency that far outpaces a smaller workshop saw.

Benefits to Cutting on the Panel Saw:

  • Cost-Effectiveness: For simple cuts, the panel saw offers a highly efficient and cost-effective alternative to programming the CNC router.
  • Speed: High-volume, straight-cut parts can be processed rapidly, ensuring your lead times are kept as short as possible.
  • Superior Edge Quality: A professional panel saw provides a perfectly clean, chip-free edge, which is essential for flawless edgebanding later on.

3. The Seal of Quality: Edgebanding

You know as well as we do that a raw, exposed edge of MDF, plywood, or particle board looks unfinished and is vulnerable to moisture and damage.

The Process & The Finish: We run your cut panels through our professional-grade edgebander, which applies a tough, durable edge material (the edgebanding) and bonds it to the panel using high-temperature adhesive. Crucially, our machine automatically trims and finishes the edges to leave a seamless, factory-finish look. We can handle a vast range of materials, from thin decorative veneers up to chunky, hard-wearing ABS.

Why Edgebanding Your Panels Can Only Enhance the End Product:

  • Professional Look: Edgebanding gives your work that high-end, furniture-grade appearance that clients expect.
  • Durability and Protection: It seals the component, protecting it from knocks, humidity, and wear and tear.
  • Time Savings: Outsourcing this tedious and temperamental process frees up your team to focus on faster assembly and installation.

4. The Grand Finale: Flawless Spray Finishing

Getting a flawless, durable, and beautiful paint finish is arguably the most difficult part of component manufacture without a dedicated, controlled environment.

The Process & The Control: We have a proper, enclosed, dust-free spray booth and a dedicated clean room. This controlled environment is critical; it eliminates the enemy of paint finishing—airborne dust, inconsistent temperatures, and humidity. We use professional spray equipment, including HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) guns for fine detail and an air-assisted system for smooth, high-speed coverage on large surfaces.

Why You Need It:

  • A Finish That Lasts: Our processes ensure excellent adhesion and a hard-wearing finish that resists chipping and scratching better than a brush or roller application.
  • Any Colour, Any Sheen: We can match virtually any colour from standard RAL/NCS charts and deliver finishes in matt, satin, or high-gloss sheen levels.
  • Eco-Conscious Quality: We proudly work with waterborne paints. They offer an excellent, durable, hard-wearing finish while being far better for the environment, for us working with them daily, and for the air quality in the final installation space.

Demystifying CNC Technology – Precision in Motion

The term “CNC” (Computer Numerical Control) can sound a bit technical, but the concept is straightforward and its impact on your projects is massive.

What is CNC Routing?

Imagine your most skilled, experienced craftsman—the one who never makes a mistake, never gets tired, and works at lightning speed. Now, imagine that craftsman operating around the clock. That’s essentially what CNC routing is. Instead of a person manually guiding a saw or a router, a powerful computer precisely controls the cutting tool’s path based on a digital drawing.

The result is a perfect, exact copy of your design, whether we’re making one prototype or a thousand production units. This repeatability is what drives consistency and allows you to scale when required.

Understanding 3, 4, and 5-Axis Machining

You might hear these terms thrown around in the industry, and it’s important to know what they mean for your job complexity. It all comes down to how many directions the cutter can move simultaneously:

  • 3-Axis: The most common. The cutter moves along the three standard axes: left-right (X), forward-back (Y), and up-down (Z). This is perfect for 2D profile cutting, drilling from above, and most standard carcase parts.
  • 4-Axis: Our primary machine operates with a 4th, rotational axis. This means we can use specialised tooling to work on the sides of a component or cut things at an angle without stopping the machine and manually resetting the material. This capability is a huge advantage for creating recessed hinges, complex joinery features, or intricate pocket holes with superior speed and accuracy. It’s a massive efficiency booster for complex cabinetry and display work.
  • 5-Axis: This level of machining offers even greater flexibility, where the cutter head itself can tilt and rotate. While this is necessary for extremely complex, sculpted 3D forms, for the vast majority of high-end joinery, furniture, and fit-out work, the speed and efficiency of our 4-axis machine provide the perfect balance of capability and cost-effectiveness.

By using high-end automation, we significantly lower the cost per component for you, making high-quality manufacturing accessible and profitable.

The Kit We Use (Because Good Gear Matters)

You can’t achieve outstanding results with second-rate tools. We’ve made significant capital investment in top-quality, industrial-grade machinery because we are serious about the quality, speed, and reliability of the components we produce for you.

  • Our Flagship CNC Machine: We run a Felder Format-4 profit H80. This is an industrial workhorse. The key advantage for you is its massive bed size 3090 x 2100mm. This means it’ll handle standard 8×4 sheets, the larger 10×5 sheets, and even jumbo Egger decorative boards without any trouble. Working with large format boards is often cheaper and provides better material yield. It can effortlessly work with materials up to 85mm thick, and its accuracy is guaranteed—we’re talking fractions of a millimetre. With an automatic tool changer holding 15 different tools, the machine can drill, groove, and cut in one rapid, automated sequence, saving huge amounts of time and ensuring component consistency.
  • Our Industrial Panel Saw: For simpler, straight-line precision, we rely on the Altendorf WA80. Altendorf is the benchmark for panel saw quality. It ensures that every simple cut, from the largest carcase side to the smallest shelf, is perfectly square, clean, and delivered with maximum efficiency.
  • Our Edgebander: Our Felder G680 is a professional-grade machine that guarantees a strong, clean, and durable bond. It’s highly versatile, able to handle edges from the thinnest 0.4mm veneer to a substantial 6mm ABS edging, on panels up to 60mm thick. This versatility means we can match the finish quality required for any job, from economy carcasses to high-end, custom furniture.
  • Our Spray Setup: Our dedicated, enclosed spray booth is a professional-grade environment designed purely for high-quality finishing. The combination of HVLP guns for fine detail work and an air-assisted system for broad coverage means every component receives a uniform, high-standard finish. Our commitment to high-performance, waterborne paint systems delivers a product that is not only tough and beautiful but also aligns with modern environmental standards.

What Makes Us Different? More Than Just Machines.

Finding a reliable manufacturing partner in the South East can be difficult. There are other cutting services out there, but we believe our approach—combining industrial technology with personal, expert service—makes us a fundamentally different and better partner.

The Consultancy Difference

We are not just “button-pushers.” We are skilled tradespeople who have been in your shoes and understand the practical realities of construction and installation. If you bring us a complex design, we won’t just quote it; we’ll consult with you. We can look it over and offer practical advice to make sure it can be manufactured most efficiently and effectively. If you don’t have a digital drawing, we can even work from a sketch and create the necessary production-ready CAD files for you. This expert feedback saves you time, material, and hassle down the line.

Genuine Flexibility

We are set up to integrate seamlessly with your existing processes.

  • Material Supply: You can supply your own materials if you prefer. Alternatively, we can source them for you using our trade accounts, often securing you better prices and ensuring the correct material reaches us exactly when it’s needed.
  • Offcuts: Need those valuable material offcuts for smaller jobs later? Absolutely, you can keep them. We understand that maximising material value is critical to your profit.
  • Clear, Honest Quoting: We don’t publish a fixed price list because material costs and project complexities change all the time. Instead, we provide a clear, detailed, honest quote for your specific job based on the best material prices and machine time rates we can get at the time.

The True One-Stop-Shop Model

This is perhaps the most significant difference. Managing a project often means juggling multiple sub-contractors: a cutting house, an edgebander, and a spray finisher.

We eliminate this headache. We are a single point of accountability. We can take on many elements of your project, from raw material ordering and precision cutting through to edgebanding and flawless spray finishing. This saves you substantial time and hassle managing logistics, and critically, it eliminates the quality control issues that often occur when components are moved between multiple, separate sub-contractors. When the job leaves our workshop, it is finished, checked, and ready to install.

Ultimately, we see ourselves as a seamless, integrated part of your team. Our success is directly tied to your success and the high quality of the work you install for your clients. We want to be the reliable manufacturing partner you call when you know a job needs to be done right, precisely, and on time.
